What is Aurora PD stance on hit and run

Well on 8/8/09 my daughter was hit broad side in a parking lot of a High School. the person that hit her fleed the scene. There were 5 people that stepped up as witnesses in the lot at the time and gave there numbers and accounts of the accident. all stating that my daughter was stopped when she was hit. My Daughter was givin a speech by the officer about how hit and runs will not be tollerated. the next day we called Aurora PD to inquire if they found the person that hit and run. the Officers response, " yes we found her and She will not be ticketed because she was only 16 years old and really scared" my response, " you have got to be kidding me right"!

So Aurora PD says its ok to hit and run and long as your underage and scared.

daughters car, broken axel. and she has to pay $1,000 Deductable

thinking about releasing name and address of the father of the kid for all to enjoy.
