re: fastest speed

I had a 1970 Duster 340 that was beefed up and was set up as a dragster, but then a kid made it street legal and I bought it. It was the fastest car I have ever owned and I used to show it in car shows. There is a seven mile stretch of highway between Del Rio Texas and Laughlin Air Force base on HWY 90, it is nice and straight with not that much traffic. I use to race there against other guys on the base all the time. Not racing in a race I have taken the Duster around 130. In a race I would never take it over 110, I was always afraid the front end would give out and I would crash us both. No idea if the front end had any problems, it was just something that was always in my head and that is not how I wanted to die.
