So my wife and I had our anniversary on the 23rd. She wasnt feeling up to our normal nice dinner out (without the kids), so we decided we would go out to dinner and a movie on Saturday night. Well, after checking the listings, they all suck. Yes, even law abiding, so I checked Star Tribune and Prince was having a show. We got dressed, Drove 12 miles to Chanhassen, and spend 3 hours listening to one of the best musicians in the world. The people were wonderful. The bins for the homeless were overflowing with gifts for them, and Lars, the head guy at security was one of the most professional, kind people I have ever meet. The show started 10 minutes late (amazing for a Prince show) and ran until the second encore, Purple Rain.
I just have to say with all the crap going on right now, Prince really brought some peace and love to the twin cities & the world last night. We are blessed to have him. I hope he stays in Minnesota.
I know you have killing cats to talk about, but if you know anybody that went to the show, notice how calm, and kind they are tonight.
Thanks Prince. Thanks Lars. Thanks to the 2000 other people that were so cool to hang with. I hope to see you guys soon.
