It goes both ways. The same thing happens for women looking for men. Lots of game-players on CL. Ive had some really good experiences off casual encounters, but once I got that out of my system and started looking for something long-term--forget it. Only one guy hasnt been a liar--hes nice enough, just no chemistry. This is probably your only good option looking for something casual. When youre ready for something longer-term, try match or something where you have to pay--much more serious folks there. Good luck--I know it sucks!
