A little bit about me, first off, work for me is simply a means to an end, and although I enjoy my career, it is not the most important aspect of my life. Of primary interest to me, of course, is a meeting of two people, each of whom has a life and interests and engagements of their own, neither of whom is needy or clingy. Where we might learn from one another, and talk about fun things and odd things and important things. Films and books and friends and the world and past loves and goals and dreams.
If we connect, we will dip into high culture and delve into the low (I have a peculiar affinity for dive bars). We will listen to music and argue over our respective tastes. We will go out and indulge to excess and sometimes we will spend a quiet evening in, enjoying a fine bottle of wine and one another. We will talk about far off lands and scheme to get there. We will groan over the state of the country and grumble at its politics. We will work too much and stay out too late and sleep too long. We will escape to the ocean. Above all, we will laugh.... a lot! And we will read the headlines and we will shrug and frown and sigh. We will luxuriate in one another’s bodies. We will be cerebral and sensual and serious and silly. And lo, it shall be good.... very good!
